Western Civilization provides a chance for students across the globe to gain an understanding of the past in terms of culture, people, and other aspects of nature and society. In essence, the course teaches our present day society the causes and effects of the past successes and mistakes of mankind, which influences the decisions of the future.

Western Civilization allows our culture to experience our own past. We are able to see the advances as they came about and learn about the great persons and events that shaped the culture we now live in. After all, those who do not know the past are destined to repeat it.

"Western Civilization" covers the history of our world as we know it. The wars, the various rulers, the several forms of government, the development of different cultures, along with the extinction of certain peoples are all included under this course's heading. Perhaps the neatest aspect of the course is the fact that we are a western society, so I really wasn't lying when I stated that this class discusses the world as we know it. To understand our present and be able to predict our future, we must look to and comprehend the events of our past.

The history of Western Civilization is important because it teaches both the accomplishments and the failures of a society: what has been done, what we are doing, and what we will do. By studying the economies, societies, and politics of all the people throughout the history of western society, we can learn about what our future holds and how we as a society can overcome issues that previously have brought about destruction and also how we can further expand the accomplishments of the past.

Studying Western Civilization is important because it gives us the opportunity to learn from the accomplishments and failures of other individuals and cultures. We can learn how to run a government and how to interact with other cultures. We owe a lot of what we have today in our society to the accomplishments of those in the history of the western civilizations.

Without the history of Western Civilization, our lives and government would be completely rearranged. Learning about our past helps us in being better citizens in the present. That is about all I have to add, to say anymore would just be a waste.

Western Civilization is important because it allows us to be in touch with our past, and to learn how the people before us made a living and governed themselves. History lets us explore the lives of the many great people and the many important events in the past that have shaped our society today. I believe that the present and future would be meaningless if we did not understand and appreciate our past.

Western Civilization is important because it gives people, both young and old, the oppurtunity to learn about the history of humankind, observe various cultures, and view the changes that have taken places throughout different societies up until now.

Western Civilization is very important for many reasons. First, it gives us an understanding of where we came from. It gives everyone across the world an understanding of how his/her culture originated. Also, it helps today's society to learn from past mistakes. History in a sense repeats itself over and over again, but hopefully looking back on the past's problems, we can change them in the future. If not, history will continue to repeat itself and we will never progress.
